Free Room Art Box - Porto, Portugal
Roxanna and Redd Walitzki will be creating immersive performance art in Porto, Portugal while staying in Free Room October 27-29th. They will assemble an avant-garde fashion creation out of unconventional materials, which they will proceed to photograph. “The Free Room is an art box experience that creates a dynamic from the inside out and from the outside in. It is transparent, in glass, in order to work as a bubble of artistic experience. It will allow the participation of all those who present artistic, cultural, innovative proposals of the most diverse and surprising formats and areas. The Free Room is intended to be used as a laboratory space but can retain its original function – to be a room, a box, where one can sleep. Meaning, sleeping can also be an artistic installation. And for free.”

Roxanna performed at Out of Sight as part of the Opening Night Celebration in August 2017. Tandem to the Seattle Art Fair, Out of Sight is the largest and most diverse annual exhibition of contemporary art in the region. Occupying three floors of a historic building in the heart of Pioneer Square, this independently produced exhibition showcases work from Oregon, Idaho, Washington and British Columbia. Out of Sight is a celebration of paintings, photography, sculpture, performance, new media, murals and installations from emerging to established artists throughout the Pacific Northwest.
